DJ Tunxy

Mark Tunks, better known behind the decks as Tunxy, began his DJ journey in 1987 spinning hip hop before becoming immersed in the exploding UK rave movement of the early 1990s.

By 1990, Tunxy had transitioned fully into the underground rave scene, building his reputation playing at illegal raves during one of the most influential periods in UK dance music history. His raw energy, crowd connection, and passion for hardcore rave culture quickly established him as a respected name on the circuit. He continued playing underground events until 1993, when he moved into the club scene and expanded his reach across the UK.

In 1996, Tunxy joined the legendary rave promotion collective Obsessed, becoming one of their resident DJs alongside iconic names Easygroove and Robbie Dee. From that point forward, he became a familiar face at some of the UK’s biggest hardcore and rave events.

Throughout his career, Tunxy has performed nationwide for legendary promoters including Fantazia, Helter Skelter, Raindance, and Obsessed / Obsession, earning recognition as a dedicated figure within the UK hardcore rave scene.

With roots stretching back to the original underground movement, DJ Tunxy continues to represent the authentic spirit of old-school rave culture, bringing decades of experience, passion, and energy to every set.
